Directions

Gymcats is located 1 block East of Gibson between Warm Springs and Sunset (across from the fire-fighter's training station).
From I-15:

Take I-15 to the 215 connector. Take it to Gibson Road, go North (left) on Gibson to Warm Springs and make a right on Warm Springs. Go to Parkson and turn left. Gymcats is on the right hand side of the road.

From I-95 and Sunset:

Take Sunset East 2 blocks and turn right on Parkson. Gymcats is on the left hand side of the road.

About Gymcats

Gymcats- Where kids matter most! Gymcats is proud to offer many programs to suit each child's individual goals and aspirations- whether it be in gymnastics, cheer, dance, tumbling or recreational fun! Our gymnastics program includes both the Jr. Olympic and Xcel pathways. We are proud to boast that numerous members of our J.O program have gone on to earn college scholarships and one became an Olympian. Click here for a video of what we do.

GYMCATS was opened in 1992 by Michael and Cassandra Rice. Cassie was named 2001 International Elite Coach of the Year, 2000 USOC Developmental Coach of the Year and USAG 2000 Talent Opportunity Program Coach of the Year. Most recently, she earned back to back Region 1 Coach of the Year for 2012 and 2013. Cassie is one of the most knowledgeable and influential individuals in our sport, and is committed to providing a rewarding experience for everyone.

In the short time that GYMCATS has been in Las Vegas they have produced Olympian Tasha Schwikert (2 time National Champion). Tasha also led the 2003 World Championships team to the first ever gold medal team victory. Also Gymcats' has had 30 Graduating Senior whom have gone onto college with full ride gymnastics scholarships and there are currently 2 gymnasts on Team that have verbally committed to Universities. Our girls gymnastics team has been overall champions 15 times since 2000 and TEN concecutive titles since 2007. Cassandra Rice- Owner
Cassandra is one of the foremost coaches in the USA. Tasha Schwikert, trained under Cassie since the beginning of her gymnastics career, earned a spot on the 2000 U.S Olympic Team, helping the U.S team earn the Bronze medal in Sydney. Since that time, Cassie has been named 2000 USOC Developmental Coach of the Year, 2000 USA Coach of the Year, 2001 International Elite Coach of the Year, 2001 USAG Coach of the Year,, 2008-09, 2009-2010, 2011-2012, and 2012-2013 Regional Coach of the year. Cassie is the Owner of GYMCATS. Cassie is one of the most knowledgeable and influential indiciduals in our sport, and is commited to providing a rewarding experience for everyone. She teaches at many educational congresses and clinics around the country.
Jill Preston-J.O Team Director
Jill has been with Gymcats since 1998 and is our girls team manager. She has coached team members to a number of national titles. She is an elite level coach, has a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology, is safety certified and is an optional level 10 rated judge. Jill is also on the state board for Nevada USA Women's Gymnastics, as well as the Nevada TOPs State Manager and Region 1 Xcel Committee Chair.
Darla McComb- Office Director
Darla has been with Gymcats since 2002. Her daughter Cassidy, a Gymcats gymnast, earned a full ride scholarship to the University of Georgia where she was part of two NCAA national championship teams. Darla has experience raising a gymnast, and knows Gymcats policies exceptionally well. She is happy to assist and guide parents with any questions they may have at the front desk.
Pej Ebrahimi- Head Boys Team Coach
Pej is the Head Coach of the boys program at Gymcats. He was NCAA Champion and All American in 2007 while attending The Ohio State University, where he received his Bachelor of Science in Finance and Real Estate as well as contributing to the Ohio State Men's Gymnastics Team winning the Big Ten Team Championships in ’05,’06 and ’07 and was later nominated as Team Captain in ‘09. His earlier achievements include- 2004 JO National Vault Silver Medalist, winning numerous Southern California State Championships and he was a multiple time Southern California All-Star Team Member. Pej’s coaching philosophy is to help his athletes reach their full potential through positive motivation and encouragement.
Jonathan Harms - Boys Rec Director
Jon has been doing gymnastics since the age of 5 and competed in the 1993 JO Nationals in Ann Arbor, MI. After an unfortunate back injury Jon was forced to take 2 years off, which led to his new career in show business. He began performing a duo aerial adiago act, known as Aerial Expressions, and has been performing around the world and Las Vegas ever since. He has been in many different shows including: Imagine at the Luxor, Storm at Mandalay Bay, Notre Dame de Paris at Paris, Air Play at the Tropicana, and V the Ultimate Variety Show at Planet Hollywood. Jon is excited to take his gymnastics training and show business experience to help other children become excited gymnastics as well!
Stacey Palmer-Preschool Director
"Miss Stacey" our pre-school director has been coaching at Gymcats since 1996. She has taught thousands of kids over the years and personally teaches over 250 kids each week. She is KAT certified and safety certified. She specializes in teaching children with special needs and has several autistic and handicapped children she teaches one on one each week. Ask our front desk about our special needs program. All her students know there is no match to Gymcats' Miss Stacey.
Mika Houston-
Roberta Teixeira- Pre-team Director
Roberta currently coaches all girls levels at Gymcats, teaches pre-school, boys and directs our Diamond (Pre-team) program. She also assists with the choreography of the floor and beam routines for all our levels.  Roberta has 29 years experience as a gymnast and coach.  She graduated with a B.A. degree in Physical Education from Sao Paulo, Brazil in 1984 and moved to the U.S.A. in 1993 to learn English.  Roberta was head coach of Sea Wind Gymnastics Compulsory and Optional Girls’ team from 1993 until her move to SCEGA in April 2001.  She moved to Gymcats in February 2011. Roberta was a National Elite judge for 9 years in Brazil and currently judges up to Level 10 in the U.SA.  Roberta was also the coach of the Brazilian Junior National Team at the Pan American Games in 1992.
Melissa Brown- J.O Compulsory Head
Misse is a former acrobat with Siegfried & Roy, a former high level gymnast, and has been a coach at Gymcats since 1994. She enjoys teaching children and heads our compulsory team, as well as coaches Levels 6, 7 and 8. She is safety certified and an expert in technique and motivation.
Kim Snape- TOPS, G-Force and Edge Director
Kim is our TOPS team, Edge, and G-force director. She is also the Level 6-8 head coach and assistant coach to the Level 9-10 team. She is a former power tumbling champion from Canada and has expert knowledge in aerial awareness. Kim is a certified Level 4/5 Judge and an Optional Level 10 judge. She has a special bond with kids of all levels and is safety certified.
Jill Kuch- Rec Center Director
Jill teaches all levels of gymnasts from babies to team. She is our Rec center director and has a great background of knowledge and is known for getting kids to achieve their best. She is safety and CPR certified. She has been teaching kids at Gymcats since 2000 and has helped them grown and develop into better gymnasts.

Tiana Milliron- Cheer Director
Tiana is a USASF certified coach who grew up as both a competitive gymnast and cheerleader.  She first began coaching while spending four and a half years in The Netherlands. As captain of her varsity cheer squad at her international high school, she helped lead the team to two consecutive European Championship wins. She is also a former L6 International Open Co Ed athlete and a UCA All American Cheerleader.  She is passionate about helping her athletes build not only their personal skills, but more importantly their confidence through cheer!

Hilary Nelson- Dance Director
Hilary Nelson is the Director of Dance at Gymcats. She was a competitive gymnast from ages 5-13 until she suffered an ankle injury and turned to dance instead. After taking and competing dance in high school, she choreographed for her college dance club, taught dance and coached gymnastics in Hershey, PA. While there she also choreographed level 7-9 and novice optional competitive gymnastics floor routines and the gymnasts competed dance locally. In 2009 she moved to Scranton, PA, where she was the dance teacher for Pocono Mountain Charter School, teaching grades K-12. While there she built the dance curriculum and had 2-3 recitals a year. On the side she taught at Arabesque Academy of Dancing and First Class Gymnastics. After 2 years in Scranton she moved to Las Vegas, NV and has been teaching at studios locally until her recent move to Gymcats in April 2013.
